SETSUB is a very simple utility written to work with SLQUOTER or
any other program that requires the user to always log into the
first subboard. Since SL2.0 logs the user into whatever sub he
was last in, the ANSI file is no longer available to be displayed
in the manner that SLQUOTER counted on. Running SETSUB as a
logoff autodoor, you can change the last subboard to any subboard
you like.
Example:
SETSUB.EXE GENERAL
This would change the user's last logged subboard to GENERAL. If
you are running slquoter, you can rename suba.ans and suba.txt to
general.ans and general.txt. When the user logs in again, the
quote will be properly displayed. Lets hope that Frank will add a
new subs.* dump file and make this unneccesary.
Note: Due to Turbo Pascal's ability to extract a command line
exactly as it is entered, you MUST capitalize the name of the
subboard or it will not work.
